What is Well Care?

Well Care involves routine medical check-ups to assess growth, development, and overall health. These important appointments may also include age-appropriate screening, preventative medicine, and an opportunity to address any health-related concerns.

What should I bring to my child’s first appointment?

Please bring any previous medical records, your child’s immunization booklet, and your insurance information (e.g. RAMQ, private).

How can I prepare for my newborn’s first healthcare visit?

We suggest bringing medical records (including birth records and discharge papers), feeding logs (baby’s feeding times and durations to discuss feeding patterns), and a list of any questions you may have. This preparation can help make the visit as positive and informative as possible, ensuring all your concerns are addressed.

How soon should my newborn have their first checkup?

We highly recommend scheduling your newborn’s first checkup within 2-4 weeks after birth.

Do you offer vaccines?

We do not offer vaccination in the clinic. There is a lab in our building offering private vaccinations. CLSC René-Cassin (across the street) and CLSC Benny Farm (5 minute drive away) offer public access depending on postal code.
